Growing Gratitude

No matter what our circumstances, we will experience the good and bad, and there will always be situations outside our control. This is increasingly apparent as we go through midlife and menopause where we can face losses of family, children growing up and changes in our physical health.

We cannot change some of these but we can change how we respond to life events

This week my guest is Jennifer Garman from the Gratitude Mission. A life coach and author whose health issues meant she spent 7 years being tested and given multiple diagnosis without any improvement in her health. Then she discovered gratitude.

In particular Jennifer became fascinated with the human brain- more specifically our predisposition for happiness vs. depression.

In this episode she shares:

  • Her own journey into gratitude

  • Neuroplasticity -  what it is and how you can use it to hack your way to happiness

  • How juggling helped her embed gratitude into her daily routine

  • Why The Growing Gratitude Tree was born!

Counting your blessings is a time-honored way to flourish. It’s been part of almost every culture and spiritual practice, going back millennia.grateful people are likely to be much happier and healthier than their pessimistic counterparts.

Recognizing and appreciating life’s many blessings is one of the most powerful ways to enhance your immune system, balance your hormones, and promote heart health.
