Breaking the Workplace Silence and Stigma on Menopause

In this episode Clarissa Kristjansson talks with Dee Coxon co-founder of Menocourse, an online solution, on why educating the workforce from the top down is the way breakdown the silence and stigma.

Statistics reveal that 90% of women say their work place does not offer them support.

* There have already been a number of successful employment tribunals against employers for menopause related discrimination. Without appropriate support this number is set to rise.

* There are over 15 million women at work in the UK and over 75 million in the U.S. Between the two, some 33 million women will be experiencing #menopause symptoms at work. That's a big number!

* Menopausal women are the fastest growing demographic in the workforce.

This lack of support and understanding of the challenges women may be facing negatively impacts a woman’s ability to contribute fully at work.

We discuss how education helps to normalise conversations around menopause and sets the base for better policies and support for midlife women.

It's time to change the narrative!!
